Decisions, Decisions!

The title of this post is best appreciated if you will sing it out loud with me to the tune of "Tradition" from Fiddler on the Roof. Ready? Decisions, decisions! Decisions! Well, happy day and welcome back to high school. Ummm, thanks but no.

It is possible that I have some type of actual disorder. But, at the least, I am very furniture fickle. I have fallen in love with a new set of dining room furniture and have decided to sell my Frenchy Hutch (seen here) which I love, almost enough to marry. I am also selling the "manners table", the giant farm table I made with the hope that my boys would learn some manners. It didn't work for us, my boys remain unmannerly and I am hoping that someone else will have better luck with it.

All of which brings me to this.

This new hutch makes me breathe heavy. Seriously. Probably because it weighs 7,000 pounds and is all one piece. It's a beast. But it's the prettiest, curviest, most detailed, ridiculously amazing beast ever. In the history of God and all time. It has five curved glass panels. It also has mouse doody inside, blech.

The beast has a family, a little buffet and a dining table. I am keeping it all! At least for 10 minutes. See? I am furniture fickle! I don't know exactly what I will do with it, but I am pretty sure that it involves Old White ASCP and some other color yet to be named. And probably some frenchy fabric. And some drool. Drool mixes nicely with ASCP :-)

The Frenchy Hutch, Manners Table and chairs will all be available at Restoration Emporium for the April 6-7th sale, just in case you love them like I do!

    1. Nancy, I found this when I went to pick up some other goodies from Craigslist. The man just happened to have them sitting in a storage building and didn't know what to do with them. Pretty sure I can figure that out!

  4. Oh, that hutch is amazing! I can't wait to see when it is done. I bet you aren't kidding about how much that weighs. You can just see how heavy it is!

  5. I can hardly believe you're getting rid of that gorgeous piece of furniture- someone will snatch that up very quickly. As for the new pieces, I used to have that same china cabinet- one of those things I really regret getting rid of in one of our many moves. In my defense, though, didn't know I could paint it- if only I knew then. I'm sort of looking forward to seeing what you do with it and sort of dreading it, because I know I'll regret my decision even more! :)

  6. You manage to find some gorgeous furniture! I don't know if I could part with any of it. Wouldn't it be nice to have enough space or extra houses so you could keep it all and just visit when you wanted to drool. Wish I lived where you do I would buy the one you're getting rid of in a heartbeat. :(
