Who did know? My youngest! At 5am, he (who would prefer to be gently awakened each morning for school by light breezes and kitten whiskers) came skipping down the stairs. Wide awake. I actually thought he might be sleepwalking!
Unfortunately, my friend Google said the eclipse would not be visible in our area until 6:45. And apparently, not even then. The trees in the yard were blocking our moon view. Lovely.
So we got in the car and drove to see the moon. And went for doughnuts in our jammies. Come to find out, the doughnut selection is much better when it is dark outside.
I can't think of a better way to start the day.

Welcome to The Shabbiest Chick! My name is Chrystal and I am the happily married wife of one, and mother of four ~ all boys! I live in The House of Testosterone. I am passionate about my family, my home and coffee. I love to restore and recreate, taking the old and giving it a new life as a future heirloom. Come along with me, but grab a paint brush, we've got work to do!

That is a very cool way to start the day. I was just rolling over at 6 am. Even though I knew about it, we live in the the Portland area, so unfortunately, all we see is clouds :)
ReplyDeleteGreat experience with your son, jammies, donuts, lunar eclipse and all. Your picture of it is beautiful, I love the softness of the field under it.
